The context

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, with no vaccine available, protecting frontline personnel — healthcare workers and law enforcement — was an emergency. NZILA Leaders wanted to play its part in the national health effort.

Our objectives

  • Protect healthcare personnel and law enforcement.
  • Encourage protective measures by example.
  • Provide tangible support to institutions facing the crisis.

What we have achieved

On 30 August 2021, NZILA Leaders handed over 1,008 bottles of hand sanitiser to the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Libreville (CHUL). The association also donated masks to the Ministry of the Interior, to protect law enforcement officers mobilised around the clock.

"We thought of supporting our country through this modest donation, to protect our law enforcement officers. With no known vaccine, the pandemic is far from over."
— Karim Berté Mamouaka, Vice-president of NZILA Leaders
