About NZILA Leaders

A Gabonese association of young leaders, committed since 2019 to serving the most vulnerable and advancing sustainable development.

Our story

The path that Leaders show

The NZILA Leaders Association was born in 2019 in Libreville out of the determination of a young generation resolved to act. Its name, drawn from a Bantu language of Gabon, means "the path" — and "Leaders" refers to enlightened people: NZILA Leaders means "the path that Leaders show".

Governed by Law No. 35/62 of 10 December 1962 on associations, it brings together young people from diverse backgrounds and with varied experiences. To improve quality of life, it grounds each of its actions in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Why is "NZILA" written in capital letters?

Because what matters most is the PATH. NZILA Leaders means the path of the Leaders: the path that leaders take, and the path they show to others. We write NZILA in capitals as a reminder that the most important thing is the road we travel — the one that makes others recognise our leadership.
